NWP Episode 127: Why You Should Switch to NonToxic Cleaners with Allison Evans of Branch Basics
A powerful and often forgot about way to take care of ourselves is through the products we use in our homes. Today on the podcast, we have Allison Evans, one of the founders of the nontoxic cleaning company Branch Basics.
Allison Evans is a co-founder of Branch Basics and lives in Texas. After experiencing a health crisis during her junior year of college and traveling to specialists across the country to seek relief from chronic pain and motor impairments, Allison finally experienced true healing after moving to the Hill Country to live with her aunt, Marilee Nelson. By removing all toxic chemicals from her environment and eating real, whole foods, Allison’s symptoms completely disappeared. Her healing journey inspired her to co-found Branch Basics to help others experience how to truly thrive in their health. Allison enjoys researching all things natural pregnancy, birth and parenting; finding clean brands to use and recommend; and helping others navigate their health journeys. But most of all, she’s a mom! Allison loves nothing more than raising her two baby girls, Sloane and Frances, who inspire her daily in her efforts to live a clean lifestyle.
I love Branch Basics and I couldn’t be happier to have found a cleaning company I can stand behind. Here’s where you can learn more and begin your journey.

About today’s podcast sponsor:
With the weather cooling down, it is such a fun time of cozy sweaters, hot chocolate and watching the leaves change color. But it also means it is time to boost your immune system, as flu and cold season is upon us!
There are a few holistic options I always recommend to support your immune system this year, and one of my favorite things to encourage is using elderberry syrup.
Y’all know I absolutely love New Chapter and everything they make, and that includes their elderberry syrup! New Chapter’s Elderberry Syrup Advanced Immune Defense contains highly concentrated elderberry extract, I’m talking 64x more concentrated than the fruit itself, giving your body serious support to naturally protect and defend its immune system.*
This superpowered superfruit is naturally sweetened with throat soothing honey and can be enjoyed by adults and kids 4 and older, so the whole family can support their immune system!
You can purchase New Chapter’s elderberry syrup on New Chapter’s website, Whole Foods, CVS, Amazon and local health food stores. Thank you so much for sponsoring today’s episode New Chapter.
